Change is the only constant in our world. In order to keep up with an ever changing world, we need to keep learning, unlearning and relearning. When I started university in 2001, there was no GSM in Nigeria. We used to go to phone booths owned by Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) to make paid calls using the NITEL cards. Then came the likes of the Nokia 3310...lol. Today, we have smart phones that are capable of so much more and we have had to learn how to use them for increased productivity. Imagine insisting on working with the knowledge of Nokia 3310 in this era of remote work and Zoom meetings.

The same open minded approach to telecommunication should be applied to our career development. Industries, processes, instruments and technology in general keeps evolving at a fast pace. The only way to not get left behind is to constantly learn, unlearn and relearn.
